Gluten Free and Better Than S'mores!
I started my camping adventures after going gluten free...which means I really haven't enjoyed many s'mores in my day. But even with little comparison, I can say that this gluten free s'more replacement must be better than the real thing.

I am not a fan of marshmallows - they don't do anything for me taste or health wise. But, I am a huge fan of peanut butter. So instead of silly dry, crumbly graham crackers and nasty marshmallows....we've got fire toasted chocolate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. These things are melt in your mouth fantastic and the perfect camping dessert after a fun day of hiking and playing in the wilderness. And for those of you who are less excited by sleeping in nature - you could also make this as you would a grilled cheese on the stove...still a perfect dessert for a long day of whatever you may find yourself doing.

Gluten Free Better Than S'mores - Grilled Chocolate PB& J Sandwiches



GF Grilled Chocolate PB&J Sandwiches
Ingredients (per serving)
2 slices of gluten free bread (I used Rudi's in this instance)
1 spoon of chocolate peanut butter or nutella if you are naughty
1 spoon of peanut butter
1 spoon of jam (preferably organic with no sugar added)

That's right, put it all together, wrap it up in foil and toast it on the fire for a few minutes on each side.
You know its ready when you can feel a little give in the bread and its quite warm.
Enjoy a delicious crunchy outside and warm, gooey, chocolaty inside. Best camping dessert I've enjoyed yet!
