Sesame Crusted Kale Chips - A great grain free/gluten free snack!

gluten free raw kale chips

Need a fix for the snack time munchies? Kale chips are a super nutritious munchie fix that makes me think of  cross between popcorn, potato chips, and seaweed. You can make them raw in your dehydrator, or super fast in the oven at a low temperature. Try all different types of seasoning. I like this sesame version because it gives it almost a parmesan-crusted texture/flavor.

Gluten Free Sesame Crusted Kale Chips Recipe
Sesame seeds provide a parmesan crusted flavor and texture
Ingredients

1 bunch of dinosaur kale cut in 1- 1 1/2" slices
3 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbs sesame oil
4 tbs olive oil
1 tbs apple cider vinegar
salt

Clean and cut the kale in as even sized slices as possible. Blend together the remaining ingredients. Toss the kale in a large mixing bowl with the dressing. Use your hands to get the kale covered well and evenly.

Spread across 2 large baking sheets, trying not to double stack any. Sprinkle with extra salt.

Bake at 250 or as low as your oven goes. Check every minute or so starting at 8-10 minutes. Once they crisp up they are very close to burning and fizzling into nothing yummy, so keep an eye on them.

Your kale chips are ready when they are crispy but not blackened. Store extras in an airtight container.

For the raw version, follow all these steps except instead of baking, dehydrate them at 110 degrees for about 3-6 hours, flipping halfway through.
