Banana Ice Cream Recipe & Variations- Dairy free, no sugar added, and simplest thing ever

This recipe comes from my good friend Maria. She rocks and I miss her, and I want to go visit her in San Diego so we can enjoy Banana Ice Cream together in the sun.

Anywho...get ready for the most amazingly simple recipe ever with the most delicious result ever.

Banana Ice Cream
Ingredients
Banana

Slice banana and place in a freezer bag or tuperware and put in freezer. Once frozen, place in food processor and blend. Keep blending until smooth and creamy. Tada!!! Banana Ice Cream.

Seriously, this is better than frozen yogurt or any other wanna be ice cream. Banana ice cream is gluten free, refined sugar free, dairy free, preservative free, fat free, yet flavorFUL and has a deliciously smooth texture. It's the perfect vegan dessert or a great sweet treat for any healthy diet. (Don't overdo it though, because while full of nutrients, bananas are also full of natural sugar).

I added cinnamon to ours halfway through blending. I can't wait to try adding unsweetened coco powder, kiwi, berries, honey, almond butter, etc. Disclaimer - I have not experimented with adding anything but cinnamon, but I encourage you to try your own flavors.

Banana Key Lime Pie Recipe

This creamy, tangy treat is super refreshing and tasty, while still remaining dairy-free, refined sugar free, gluten free, and vegan - plus it's packed with nutrients! You gotta try this amazingly simple healthy dessert recipe!

Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Refined Sugar Free Banana Key Lime Pie
Ingredients
Filling:
2 bananas sliced and previously frozen
2 kiwis (1/2 of one reserved and sliced for garnish)
2-3 tbs lime juice
Pie Crust:
1/2 cup soaked and lightly toasted walnuts
1-2 dried dates

In food processor, pulse dates. Add walnuts and pulse until coarsely ground and blended together. Spread along the base of 2-3 little ice cream dishes.
Now for the key lime filling. In food processor blend frozen bananas until mostly smooth, but not completely. Add kiwi and process again a few seconds. Add lime juice and process until super creamy.
Fill bowls with the banana, lime, kiwi mix and garnish with a kiwi slice on each bowl.
Wow! Yum!
