Ginger 'n Greens Smoothie Recipe

It's not easy being green, especially when you are a smoothie. People are often scared of beverages this color, but this zesty drink may convert you. It is loaded with spicy, flavorful ginger, which is a wonder food - it treats digestive problems, boosts circulation, builds up your immune system, reduces inflammation, and warms you up on a cold morning. And, as we all know thanks to Popeye, the spinach in this recipe is loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidant flavanoids, and even omega-3 fatty acids. Really everything in this green smoothie is full of powerful nutrients....the list goes on.

Ginger 'n Greens Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2" piece of ginger sliced
1-2 handfuls of spinach
1  1/2" piece of cucumber sliced
1 stalk of celery cut in pieces
1/2 kiwi
1/4 honeydew melon cut in pieces (or sub pineapple, apple, pear or other fruit)
1 lemon (just the juice or peel and throw the whole thing in)
1 cup of kombucha or other probiotic liquid

Blend together, starting on low to mix then increasing speed until thoroughly blended. Now that's what I call waking up on the right side of the bed!
