O-bam-a !

Finally so much noise and show-shah for the Mr. and Mrs. Black President from the proclaimed white nation arriving to the humble wheatish country has paid off. I've been listening and reading about it since long....long enough not to mark anything to memory. But thanks to the media, this was always topping the charts and still is. After Obama left the Indian soil, the media got back to work producing articles and analysis of the Obama's visit on daily basis. I was amazed to read each one of them and just wondered if I could manufacture something of the same genre.
The US president has a very well defined strategy planned to strengthen its ties with every other country it can possibly gets strings attached with. After the recent polls, the democrats surely have reasons to worry.Of course, India is at the top priority with so much happening with us at this quarter of the century. We are into nuclear power, IT, imports - exports, education, research....you name it and a pool of talented
Indians will respond to that. So getting back, the Washington meets New Delhi was the most anticipated event
this year after CWG and the trial. And this time the visit was a symbolic gesture of accepting Indian on the Global platform. I, like every other partial pessimist, was wondering about the security issues since our country has been the prime location lately for the bloody games. And thanks to the Indian security forces and everyone involved in organizing this whole event, the ship sailed smoothly or at least the surface was non-turbulent. Not only did Washington met New Delhi, it paid visit to our aamchi Mumbai in style, stayed in Taj, spent time with students in Xavier’s' and danced to the tunes of Daler mehndi....whoa!!! And the Indian audience enjoyed every bit of it like we always do when any foreigner speaks "I looooove Indiaaaa !”

The most important outcome of Obama's visit was the civil nuclear deal which the 2 nations signed ,and is proclaimed by many. was inevitable. If that is the case, I would rather applaud more of being able to hold the world's attention for a couple of days. Even though India doesn't have much of economic establishment considering the indices of poverty, corruption, illiteracy and numerous other diseases, from the larger view, India is growing and dare anyone stop it! Long way to go Bharat!
