About Swim Pro Janet
Over the past 20 years thousands of swimmers, triathletes, professional athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all ages and abilities across the globe have experienced Janet’s talents as a SwimPro.
She has worked with both individuals and groups of all sizes passing along her enthusiasm and keenness for swimming. Her fervor and “can do” inspiration combined with her uncanny ability to “see” as well as convey in simple and easy to understand terms, creates an experience worth every moment.
Janet has been a competitive swimmer for over 40 years, and a swim coach since 1987. Her versatility is exemplified by her extensive experience in varying coaching positions throughout the past 25 years including:

Finally, Janet is affectionately known as “The Mother of Masters Swimming in Maui”.
- head coach of a USA swimming age group club
- head coach of a High School swim team
- head coach of US Masters swim teams
- intern, assistant and finally head coach at the USMS High Altitude Training Camp at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs
Her passion for the sport goes beyond coaching to include:
- open water race director (having produced more then 50 swims)
- pool meet director for state and national championship pool meets
- hosted hundreds of swim clinics ranging from a few hours to a few weeks in duration
- 14 years as chairperson for US Masters swimming in Hawaii
- served on several national US Masters swimming committees
Finally, Janet is affectionately known as “The Mother of Masters Swimming in Maui”.
