Centennial Trail miles 23-19
The weather finally cooled off here for a few days so Marshall dog got to join me on today's Centennial Trail run. I checked weather.com before we left, it said 71 and cloudy with a chance of rain around 10 pm. My husband drove us downtown and dropped us off at the northwest end of Riverfront park for our starting point.
These clouds don't look too foreboding, do they?
We ran through the park quickly and I could have spent all day taking photos here.
The first mile went by quick enough, 8:38 pace with a little people dodging. Gonzaga University is across a little bridge from downtown.
OK, the clouds officially look foreboding. The thunder and lightening aren't helping either.
Mile 2 went by a little faster at 8:10 pace, perhaps I was feeling nervous about the loud booming coming from the sky.
Mile 3 is here in 7:57 pace, what are you supposed to do in case of a thunder storm?
Mile 4 went by in 7:40 pace, the rain is coming down harder by the second, and I didn't stop to take any more photos except this one. Just as I put the camera away, my husband pulled up in the car, apparently he had been tracking me. I would have gotten in the car sooner if I had known he was there, but there's nothing like a little storm to get the legs turning over. By the time we got home, it was 53 degrees, it was a great storm.
Run totals: 3.86 miles total: 31:22, 8:07 pace, HR: 144, asc: 435 desc: 417.
