My Dream Holiday Destinations
1. Turkey
As of now it’s going to be the only Eurasian country with a great ancient cultural heritage you can visit!
Turkey is a fascinating place and the tourism is largely focused on variety of historical sites and seaside resorts along its Aegean and Mediterranean Sea coasts. The place which cannot be missed while in Turkey is the capital. Istanbul is one of the hot-favourite holiday destinations lately. There are a huge variety of hotels and resorts from where you can choose your own, depending on the budget. The stay in Istanbul will be an enchanting experience. The Topkapi Palace & the Dolmabahçe Palace will give you a feel of what it was like to live like a Nawabi Sultan. Then there are several museums and mosques to admire their architectural beauty. You can shop in The Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar, one of the oldest covered markets of the country or at the Cevahir Mall, the largest shopping centre in Europe. One can feel euphoric at the Bosphorus Bridge which connects Europe and Asia and the view is spectacular.
Next destination is the tourism capital of Turkey, Antalya. There are many picturesque beach resorts mainly in Turkish Riviera and is a popular spot for German and Russian tourists.
Other famous historical sites not to miss are Troy, Ephesus. If you have seen the movie “Troy” you can probably even picture Brad Pitt at its best, roaming in the ruins. J
In the recent years, Turkey has also become a popular destination for culture, spa, and health care tourism. In 2010, Turkey attracted more than 28.6 million foreign tourists. Please visit these http://www.goturkey.com/ and http://www.tourismturkey.org/ if you are not already convinced!
2. Seychelles
This one is my personal favourite. 115 Seychelles Islands located in Indian Ocean close to the African sub-continent offer each person a different experience catering to their moods.
The beaches here are clean and the view magnificent, probably one of the most relaxing places one can ever be at. It’s ideal for visitors who’d like to involve in various adventures like Hiking, Sailing, Snorkelling, Wind Surfing or simple bird watching. And it’s also ideal for them who just want to sit back and relax and get their bodies tanned! And there are lots of cultural and adventure events planned in each month some like “SUBIOS Underwater Festival”, “Seychelles Sailing Cup”, “and International Fishing competition”, so you can just indulge yourself leisurely! My first acknowledgement of Seychelles and probably for most people around me was in 1996 when a Bollywood movie “Papa Kehte Hain” aptly captured its beauty. It is aptly promoted as “The Seychelles Islands – Another world!”

3. Seven Sisters of India
I would say that it’s the one of the most unexplored places in the “Incredible” country. Even though the north-eastern states Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura are considered as one single entity by many, there is a great ethnic and religious diversity within and there’s lot to explore! Firstly, there are lots of national parks and wildlife sanctuaries and you can have your own pick for an Elephant Safari. Then you can cruise along the longest river of India and feel the tranquillity and the noise of the dense forests nearby. The next stop can be Tawang or Gompa Monastery which is a 400 year old Buddhist monastery. There are locals markets where you can buy the traditional outfits and add authentic tribal jewelry to your collection. It’s also the home of the wettest place on the earth, Cherapunjee where you can enjoy some famous waterfalls, and enjoy beautiful view of the plains/hills in the Scotland of the East (Shillong). You can visit some exclusive Assam tea gardens and savour the taste of the most famous teas, have a look at one of the highest pass and a spectacular view of snow clad Himalayan Mountains!
To add to the beauty there are many festivals, several of them celebrated in October- November like Bihu Festival, Majuli Festival, Tea Festival, Bramhputra festival, each offering an enchanting experience of its own. There’s so much more to land of seven sisters than I can attempt to write here. It’s worth a visit! You can visit
