King Corn - You Are What You Eat
Through an odd series of coinkidinks (how do you spell that?!), I just learned about a new documentary called King Corn that will be coming to Berkeley next month.
According to the web site, "King Corn is a feature documentary about two friends, one acre of corn, and the subsidized crop that drives our fast-food nation." Sounds like just the thing for Berkeley. Bring it on, Curt, Ian, and Aaron!
Movie is also opening in NYC, Boston, DC, LA, and SF in October and early November. Check their web site for more info. In addition to the theatrical opening on November 3rd, there is a sneak peak on October 30th at which Michael Pollan will be speaking. Hopefully, more details on that coming soon.
